Painting Topic - Twenty Six is a Hit!

I made a quick ‘new big base’ for one of my Necromancers in preparation for 4th edition.

Nothing fancy, but I thing it captures the essence of a Necromancer quite well.

…and a Stage 1 Lord for Epic Warpath. It’s the one you get for free, if you were signed up for the Warpath STL campaign. I printed it a two weeks ago. His big brother is for scale reference:

It was fun to paint. I excited to see how an army of these look on the battlefield.

@Smoodo Thanks! Yes, they really help with that. Multibasing is the best and now aviable for characters too!

I was painting on some (very red) Salamanders before getting lost in the new edition fog around what would make the cut and what wouldn’t. So I decided to go back to my (very green) Herd and just keep adding stuff to the existing army. Here’s Forest Warden #4 and Spirit Walkers / Tribal Warriors #21-24. Another 12 little guys and 3 more big dudes up next cause why not!

EDIT - This is what the Sallies are looking like (with a test basing plant):

Upcoming project(s) … , not painted yet, still deciding what army to do (first)

Also still got Elves on the table, slowly plodding through the next Infantry Regiment.

Did you print the strider larger or is that the regular size?

Regular size from the Kickstarter GCPS sprue @screamingaddabs .

I have realised I was thrown because the stuntbots I have are rather small…

I am moving house and so (pretty much) all my painted minis are in my office at work to keep them safe from clumsy removals people. Naturally I have covered my shelves with them! The nightstalkers, asterians and plague are my son’s.

First base of my small Epic side project: First Enforcer Base done.

Nothing fancy, trying to get a good balance of speed and tabletop ready looks with basic painting techniques.

And Woooah @screamingaddabs , that’s a lot of minis! And nicely painted ones too

Nice! Epic will look awesome if you get all the bases up to that standard! Keeping it classic colours for the vehicles too?

I started back in the hobby in 2020, so that’s 5 years of minis there. My wife said that I had too many and I always denied it. I must admit, I have a few more than I thought!

In my defence, the awesome Asterians, the plague and the spooky Nightstalkers are all my son’s, so I don’t think I’ve got too much yet…

Can never have enough minis @screamingaddabs !

And yep I’ll keep to the colors, but will do yellow shoulder patches / markings for any double units I’ll paint (to keep them apart on the battlefield.)
