I actually painted a banner. I am more than happy with it. It didn’t take too long and it reflects the colours and the layout of the army itself:

The bridge matching your table a bit did confuse me at first.

First pour of water effect. It’s taking all my patience to wait for it to dry before I add more.
Good news:
- Almost no leaking
- The water makes the base more fresh
- This wil be a good foundation for some details (like waves, foam, stream) on top
- It enhances the colors I added to the bottom of the river.
Bad news:
- I sealed the sides with pva glue on the inside of the mould and it looks like the water effect is reacting with the glue and making it white again (it had dried clear)
- some boubles and smokey-water
- I am not sure I have enough water effect, so i might buy another bottle
Solutions:
- I will lett it dry for at least 8 more hours
- I will probably try to sand down the siden when I remove the mold, hopefulle that will remove the white pva residue
Other reflections:
- This is fun!

Small update.
The water effect was a disaster.
I might as well have used pva glue.
Fortunatly pva glue is my favoritte hobby material so a new plan have been made:
I will try and paint the water, and then add only a small layer of gloss and water putty. Hopefulle this will make me create an illusion of dept that is no longer there.
Not exactly what i needed so close to the finish line, but it it what is is.

This sort of thing was why I decided against full on water effects for my TridentRealm army - going with painted filler and clear pva, which seemed to work well enough.
Hope the correcting effort goes well - as the basing looks awesome otherwise.

I’m actually happy with the result as of now. I managed to reuse the army colors in my newly painted river.
My next army might actually be trident realms. I guess that will mean it is resin-time

It looks so good! Way to see an ambitious basing concept through, despite some setbacks (I think the artsy water works totally fine, maybe even better as it brings the army colors back in again).
And I still love that meta-heckin’ army composition

Army concept and basing are both really great - so have lots of fun.

Me and the Skulks traveled to Clash of Kings!
I managed to get 3 wins, and one draw, and barely finished on the top half (and that was my goal all along) Even though I am not completely satisfied with how well I played, I had some decent luck and all my opponents where really nice. I played against The herd, salmanders ×2, Empire of Dust, Undead, and Elves. I would have to get back to you with the names of my opponents as I don’t remember all of them right now, but I had a blast in every single game i played. Thank you for again making CoK the highlight of the year for me.
I also had a lot of nice people coming up to me and telling me they liked my army. I even got hugs! That meant a lot as I had to sacrifice other fun thing to make this army in less than a year.
To top it all off I was awarded a “judge choice award”. That made me extremely proud. I honestly did not think that would be possible this year because of all the brilliant armies attending this year.
Thanks again. To all my opponents, spectators, travel companions, the TO’s, old and new friends, and other nice people I met during this fantastic weekend.
The skulk army will enjoy another tournament in Bergen before 4th edition.
