because I have some historical models that would fit that army, and would like to make something with a early mediaeval theme, my try on the Brothermark
So far my core will be
2x Order of the Abyssal Hunt (Regiment) 225
The Gauntlet 10
Aegis Fragment 5
2x Paladin Knights (Troop) 135
Aegis Fragment 5
Exemplar Hunter 90
The Gauntlet 10
Mount on a Horse 35
Priest 75
Bane Chant (2) 20
Priest 75
Bane Chant (2) 20
Mount on a Horse 25
Phoenix 195
now I am not sure for the rest
a Horde Swordsman looks as nice as a Horde of Bowman with support from 2 regiments spearman
but because I am not a friend of Hordes in general, taking 3-4 Bowman Troop instead of a Horde looks appealing too (in addition to 2 Regiments Spearman and 1 Regiment Swordsman)
going the route of Paladines and Palace Guard is something I want to avoid as I think to get that one going I need to cut some Knights, which I don’t want to (not sure of 2 Regiments here without an army build around them will do much)
Light Cavalry is an option, although I don’t have models for them (yet) while a stock of various Infantry
Not sure what you are using to compile the army lists, but it generally makes it easier if you stick all the units first, then monsters, characters etc - it’s far easier to get an idea of what actually is in the army.
The abyssal hunter are your key killing units, so to ensure they do their stuff, look at artifacts like strider or pathfinder (so unhindered charging) or strength/sharpness (making use of attacks and regiment cost)
this is the easy army output, I don’t know why it does not keep the initial order if you change something (tried to edit it on the phone as good as possible)
was not sure about using artifacts to make an expensive unit more expensive, but I makes sense to get those to make sure that they hit as hard as they can
It can be a balancing act, but buffing good units (thus boosting their abilities) is often easier and more economical than trying to get another unit to fill the “gap” or compensate.
thx for that one, way easier on mobile than easy army
so far the “core”
Army: Order of the Brothermark
Points: 1900
Unit Count: 12
Unit Strength: 19
260, Order of the Abyssal Hunt Regiment
– Maccwar’s Potion of the Caterpillar
– Aegis Fragment
– Gauntlet
255, Order of the Abyssal Hunt Regiment
– Sir Jesse’s Boots of Striding
– Aegis Fragment
– Gauntlet
140, Paladin Knight Troop
– Aegis Fragment
140, Paladin Knight Troop
– Aegis Fragment
125, Man-at-Arms Spearman Regiment
125, Man-at-Arms Spearman Regiment
100, Man-at-Arms Crossbowman Troop
165, Villein Bowman Horde
195, Phoenix
140, Exemplar Hunter
– Blade of Slashing
– Gauntlet
– Horse
150, Priest
– Shroud of the Saint
– Horse
– Bane Chant (2)
105, Priest
– Bastion

options for the last 100 points
adding Veteran Command to both Spearman units and a BSB on horse
adding a Paladin foot Guard Troop
exchanging the Bowman Horde (and Blade of Slashing) with 4 Bowman Troops and Veteran Command for both Spearman units
I really like this list overall. The not change I would consider would be to drop the aegis fragment from both troops of paladins because of their already low nerve to put the conjures staff on the second priest for that sweet banechant 3(effectively).
