I’m inclined to agree.
On the flip side, a confusing abyssal hierarchy sounds on theme.
The closer the circle is to the surface the lower are the ranks and the weaker the creatures
I read the background in the rulebook of 2nd and 3rd edition, so I know why the circles are called like this. But it feels wrong that a unit called Lower something profits has got a trait including Upper.
Geographical or physical position mess up with the position in their society or hierarchy.
I’d argue that The Abyss is supposed to “feel wrong” and the way things work there should seem the wrong way around.
In The Abyss; bad is good and up is down, but only sort of and in a way that confuses mortals’ sensibilities.
Feels like the lore to come is factions splitting off to fight for their chosen celestian or alliancing with those.
Oracle, green lady, mescator elohi, rather than green lady near enough leading.
Do have rise of celestians and I need to start reading it. So if I’m out with anything it’s my laziness.
Are the book names a wider event not just focused on a faction.
Alliance the wider alliance to fight Xirkaali.
Death the multitudes of undead, Eod and ophidia stalking the lands.
Ruination, possibly varangar leads that book with side order of abyss factions.
Anyway good times in the lore ahead.
Arrogance, maybe the elves try to use some rift to power their magic or some forbidden magic to use valandar dead body Causing more troubles.
What happened to the wizards from Basilea? There are still models available, but they are are not in the list.
They are mentioned in the battles during the Nexus and tried to hold back the magic energies together with Northern Alliance and Elves, but I could not find the part where they all vanished or something like that.
