Has anyone seen a miniature that would make a good alternative to the coral giant?
While I like the paint job, the Mantic model is a bit blocky and lacks a defined face. I’d prefer something like a stone elemental with more delicate coral growing off of it.

A lot like this but a bit skinnier!
Woops - realise this thread should probably be in the hobby talk section.

Always loved this model.
More of a humanoid sea giant look obviously.

That’s a very cool mini I’ve not seen before. Looks massive though!

I have seen that one - it’s more corally but lacks a face too.
Might find an earth elemental model I like and add more delicate coral to it.

Yeah, that Reaper sea giant is great.
A lot of good Reaper sea-creature models for Trident Realms…
Fathom Tyrant Reaper Miniatures :: sea monster latest/44185
Crocosaurus Reaper Miniatures :: sea monster latest/44191
Kraken Reaper Miniatures :: sea monster latest/77291
Put something riding a Crocosaurus and you’d have a hell of a Trident King.

you always can just use an earth elemental and add some small seashells to it
also Schleich (toy company) has some nice Elementals in the right size you can use as base to add seashells
Maybe some bits of lava rock would have the right texture to seem coralish.

Are you interested in 3D sculpts? To print yourself or track down on Etsy or whatever. Here are some I dug up:
AVG - Nautindod, the Shipwreck Golem (https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-nautindod-the-shipwreck-golem-156917 ), the platonic ideal of the Reaper shipwreck golem
3AD - Arcoparan The Walker 01 (https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-arcoparan-the-walker-01-177707 ), bash bros with his alternate pose
3AD - Arcoparan The Walker 02 (https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-arcoparan-the-walker-02-177708 )
IM3 - Reef Warden (https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-reef-warden-662275 ), probably a little small but can be upscaled to titanic proportions
RPG - Portal Golem (https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-portal-golem-120041 ), or more like Riptide Golem if the portal is painted as swirling water
RPG - Barnacle Golem (https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-barnacle-golem-337241 ), definitely made of barnacles
RPG - Coral Elemental (https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-coral-elemental-279766 ), a very gribbly option
DTL - Coral Shambler (https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-coral-shambler-presupported-152560 ), an amalgam of aquatic detritus that is kind of overly busy and more knuckery to me
There are plenty more animated shipwrecks or earth-elementals-that-could-be-underwater where those came from.

The second ‘walker’ model is very cool.
Do like that mantic actually switched the rules to match the model.
I dig that there are two of them in case you wanted to run a pair of coral giants and have them look similar (I also discovered that I already own their files )

Hmm - some very good options there. While quite different, I like the shipwreck golem and the warden. I think I’d need to scale them to match the Kraken mini.

You could pop an octopus in the top instead of the skeleton with the treasure chest.
