Since my Bretonnians are switching back to the Old World, i need to finish my Basileans.
I had some thoughts about an Armylist yesterday and would like to get your thoughts about it.
For this list to work i need to buy two additional units.
One Paladin Foot Guard and the Phoenix.
Basilean Royal Airforce [2300 / 2300]
~ List Valid ~
Bane Chant (2) [20]
Ur-Elohi (Hero (Large Infantry)) 1 [200]
High Paladin on Dragon (Hero (Titan)) 1 [325]
Heal (4) [15]
On the other hand i could choose to use only the Units i allready have and save some money. I do have in reserve two Regiments/ one Horde of spearmen and two Regiments/ one Horde of Paladin Knights. And a troop of Sisterhood Infantry but who wants these ugly sculpts in an Army?
I dig it and don’t have too many notes. I’m a fan of CS2 on Elohi hordes (but CS1 on regs) so they can be better alpha hammers. You don’t really want to grind with them anyway, so the De 4+ isn’t a bad tradeoff. I would drop the heal on the dragon (when are you casting this??) and most likely grab another spell for the Priest - bastion is of course great, but if you drop the Paladin Defenders upgrade you can give him heal (3) (which I guess allows him to use his Cleanse ability for all the good it does). The Defenders upgrade isn’t doing much for a 12 attak unit, plus the Elohi give the Paladins elite in a combo charge anyway, which should be pretty easy to do with 5 angel units. If you do this, the last 5 points buys a very annoying Aegis Fragment for the dragon, making him even less appealing to chip damage off.
Thanks for your Input. The idea behind the list ist that i have three independent parts.
Paladin Foot Guard supported by Panther Lancers and Priest
Elohi on their own. Regiment act as shields and Support for the hordes.
Titans+Ur-Elohi
If i want to use only the Models i have, i would kick out the Phoenix and a unit of Foot Guard and Take two Regiments of spearmen with aegis fragment. The Priest would gain heal and Bastion. I could remove Paladin Defender and heal on the dragon as suggested. That would free Up some additional points.
Unfortunately Mantics doesnt sell Panthers seperately and since my lancers are glued to their panthers i dont Like the idea to play them as Panthers only.
Otherwise i would Swap them out immideately. That would free up 60 Points for other stuff.
I modified the list to fit the models i allready have (Just need to paint some of them).

Good for you, try the army and keep us posted on the results!
A few months ago, I did something similar. I took Jonathan Quayle’s Clash of Kings list to a tournament. This list looks remarkably similar, switching the infantry for Phoeni (Phoenixes?) and a horde of knights.
The results were quite spectacular. You can find all about it here:
TDLR: A Basilean Alpha strike list works wonders as long as your opponent isn’t prepared to deal with a lot of speed. Phalanx helps a lot too.
