Clash of Kings info/updates

Now that you mention it … “Geilenreuth” , “Wohlmannsgesees” and “Wichsenstein” are popular hiking spots around here … my dad used to go hiking there all the time … erhm :astonished:

“Poppenreuth” is a bit further south …

Still … none of those are town names that, while they certainly exist in reality, I would deliberately include in fantasy fluff if I were writing any! So yep, Hodenberg is still weirding me out!

While it is primarily a tournament update, most pick up games would probably use the rules - plus it has two new forces, new spells and artifiacts, plus special characters for a number of armies.

If you haven’t checked it out already, look at https://mantic.easyarmy.com/

It’s an army builder which, if you subscribe (from $2 a month), you get the updated rules/units etc from the latest Clash book

Most (all?) armies got more options and units got buffed. Though I would recommend buying some day, even if you are (like me) no tournament player, you could delay that for a while. For starters, the main rulebook + Uncharted Empires offer enough fun!

I’d say that if you’re in a group, it’s probably useful if someone has a copy. You could probably piece it altogether online though. Having bought the book to look through initially, I’m now looking at lists online.

Not a big deal for people who have been with the edition for a while, but three books to build some armies and two for the rules isn’t great for those starting out. Plus large chunks of the lists in those books are now outdated.
