This will make it approximately 2 years from the initial survey to receiving the game.
How do people feel about the delay?

Totally fine, I’ve got plenty of travel and other painting to hold me over
I don’t mind honestly, it is not as if they are happy with these delays themselves. They’ll deliver the pledges when they can.
These things happen. They’ve let us know. I think some people will be frustrated. I imagine mantic are annoyed as it will bugger up their marketing plan. Personally its probably good for me to finish off some other things before it arrives!
Yep, I’m sure. I think the thing people are worried about now are the public getting their hands on Epic stuff before the backers.
I’ve never understood that. As long as I get the product I’m happy. Been burned by a few crowd funded projects in the past, which is not something I worry about with Mantic.
I went all in with this one, so look forward to seeing more soon.
I can understand it.
At this point I’d like to see backers get their stuff first.
Apparently there’s an update coming soon.
Not thrilled with how this is being handled. I suspect the ship on playing this game has sailed for me
While I would be happier with more frequent communication and my pledge on its way now, I think that Mantic is still within the expectations of most Kickstarter campaigns, and a fulfillment in the next few months would still leave me satisfied…
For comparison, the most similar campaign I could compare this to is the Leviathans relaunch from Catalyst Game Labs. Leviathans raised about 10% than Epic Warpath back in August of 2022, with 2163 backers compared to the 2520 backers of Epic. Catalyst’s original fulfillment date was September 2023, which they gave up on within the year, despite having production samples on display at GenCon 2023… the product is now complete, but shipping details are not expected until next month at the earliest, which would make an August delivery the best case scenario.
So that makes three years for Leviathans (two years overdue) versus ~18 months for Epic Warpath (~6 months overdue), with the difference being Catalyst has a worldwide distribution system including guaranteed placement in big-box stores, that is several times larger than Mantic. Overall, while their original projections may have been too optimistic, I still trust Mantic intends to make the best game possible, and that any delays are actually unavoidable and not the result of a loss of corporate interest in the project, unlike Leviathans.
Apparently there’s posts on Facebook and some Discord server with photos and more updates. That’s just irritating.
I don’t mind the project being late, especially given all the stuff going on worldwide with tariffs and shipping issues.
I just feel like Mantic is not bringing their usual level of communication to this, which is unfortunate.
