Hey Team,

Nice wood, looks quite realistic.
I’m meant to be finishing my forest shambers, but I’m still waiting on some conversion parts. In the meantime, I’ve painted my greater earth elemental. He’s an almost all Mantic 3d kitbash, using a regular earth elemental and Mantic terrain bits.
Great job.
Do enjoy a good digital kitbash, smart move adding terrain rocks to your dude rock ![]()

Whilst I have my Wiltfather I’m holding out hope that a tree list has legs (trunks?) so I’m doing another. I’ve reposed him to give him a more readable walking posture and given him a nose. I’ve no good reason for that second decision.
Next on the painting desk are the Lady’s Reapers.
I wanted to stay true to the Mantic aesthetic, but wanted more elongated Wendigo type proportions. A little arm swap sorted that nicely.
I’ve ordered some of the new plastics, so I’ll need to see how they fit with the play style I’m going for. I sort of see the hard divide between Elementals and Herd, but I’ll take a look
Do hope from a list building/special rules/commands perspective the army does work as a combination of the herd/elemental (and to a lesser extent verdant) themes, rather than really just having to pick one and ignore the other?
TR suffer a bit with too many disparate Traits/rules and would be a shame if FoN (which after all is about balance), doesn’t get that right.
I get what you mean, but I think that they have their own identity
Cool, where did you get the new arms from?

They’re from these guys. My buddy cut the arms off digitally and 3d printed them
The Green Lady’s presence can be felt in any place near wood, stone or stream. The forms taken by her Avatars are as varied as the pebbles in a riverbed.
In the ancient grove at the centre of the Elkenshade woods, the Briar Maiden: Avatar of the Green Lady, keeps a watchful vigil over all natural things.
That’s super cool ![]()
Fun conversion of a great mini, very evocative!
Great stuff mate, I only found out about this blog from listening to your podcast.
You should consider moving it over to the showcase section, more traffic there.
Edit: moved now to the Showcase section!
So now we’ve seen the list, I’m really pleased that a verdant list is now possible. This finds my second tree herder promoted to the starting line up.
I’ve been working on a display board, and since I’m looking at integrated basing none of my stuff is based at present, but I’m pleased with the plan. Whether I can deliver is a different matter!
