Goblin Army - All Mantic (Updated August 2021)

great looking stuff there! is the inn scratch built?

No, its a commercial inn that I bought and then converted to appear to be on fire.

The story of the conversion is here: https://www.kowforum.com/t/the-horned-moon-coaching-inn-ablaze/2145

And you can see a video of the flaming effects here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPoYOUg9qqo

The undead archers can burn in hell for the same reason.

I have lots of patience but these things nearly went out the window at the build stage.

Your giant is amazing. Is it a kitbash?

Love the colour choice on it as well. Got any more pictures of it you could post?

Here is an extract from the post I made in Facebook about Stumpy the Giant.

I would like to introduce you to Stumpy (aka The un-Jolly Green Giant). The idea for Stumpy was born when I looked at the left-over bits from my Mantic Giant after building a Shadowhulk. Two sides of my character came to the fore.1: My Goblin-like character that likes to re-use all scraps and 2: My Scrooge-like character that likes to save money.
Procuring a second hand action toy provided the body and the Giant leftovers provided the rest. But, I wanted the new Giant to stand-out as something different, as a Goblin mash-up of a dead Giant revitalised, after taking advice from some passing strange brown Goblins with long tails, with some new parts, including a steam driven pump on its back to circulate blood.
Stumpy’s back story is that he was a particularly well-regarded Giant that died in service to the Goblins. His body was recovered in a desperate state: leg badly damaged, heart stopped and brain dead. But, some patch up work was instigated. The damaged leg was amputated and replaced with a tree stump. A steam driven pump was fitted to Stumpy’s back to circulate blood (it does leak a bit). The brain was extracted and the surviving nerve endings were fitted to rudimentary hand and foot controls for a Goblin ‘pilot’ allowing commands to be passed for left, right, forward, back and hit something. By extracting the brain, space was created for a control cabin for the pilot which is accessed via a cupola mounted on top of the Giant’s head. The eyes were removed and replaced with vision ports, painted white to reflect glare.
So, that’s Stumpy. He’ll be coming to a gaming table somewhere near you in the near future, as long as the correct nerve endings have been connected to the controls …

This is why I love miniature wargaming.

You have a wonderfully unique giant with an even more amazing backstory Koshtra.
