So… i am working on my 2026 hobby goals and so far it goes really well thanks to ongoing painting events.
I finished my entire City States army for Conquest in around 6 Weeks and now i am 3 weeks into my halfling army and its almost done.

Are there still KoW players left in Bremen?
I like the look of Mantics Halflings and the Forest Trolls are one of the nicest ones out there.
But the army is missing a lot in this edition and the units either overpriced or need better stats.

On paper yes. But 4th edition wasn’t particularly well received here.
One of the biggest problems for the Halflings is that the extremly good units are all in support. The army would be a lot more versatile if wild runners and Forest Trolls were core, Ej Drakon Rider or Harvester and Aeronauts special.

And with that the Army is finished. Took me 21 calender days painting on 19.5 of them.
Next i’ll probably finish my Basileans after almost 10 years

If you take a Gunnery Sergeant on Forest Troll then regiments of both trolls and troll gunners become Core units.
Nice looking army and well done for cracking through it so quickly.

Yes, thats the only way i can build a legal list in 4th that isn’t complete garbage. And the reason i bought a Gunnery Sergeant in the first place

Now on to play them. 4th is not a bad game
