Sometimes you find an old model lying around in the bottom of your box of “great plans that are on hold”, badly painted, partially painted, or in serious need of repair. It is quite interesting to repair and repaint it and see the transformation.
I quite randomly have 3 old GW dryad models, in a semi-painted state:
They badly needed a paint upgrade. Luckily, their wooden bodies are quite responsive to contrast paints, washes and dry-brushing. Add a couple of tiny details and some vegetation on the base and they look much nicer:
