Quick question. I’m looking at starting into Kings of war and I’m just curious if the miniatures have to be painted to match the box art? Is there separate groups in each faction that art painted differently or can I paint the faction I choose the way I want to paint it?

you can paint them with any colours you want, there is no restrictions or any direct link between rules and models
though there are some suggestions for colours for each faction, but so far no official schemes

Ok sweet that was my big hang up honestly. I understand some faction guidance but I prefer to let my creativity choose what I’m paint them as.

Absolutely not, so have fun with a scheme you fancy!
Also note, depending on the army you are getting, the box art and official pictures don’t necessarily do the models a huge amount of justice in any event
