Does anyone have photos of the Kingdoms of Men ships that are available as STLs in the Vault?
Hi, I ran off the tiny (gunboat) and small (brig) ships from the Kingdoms of Men Vault and put them up next to their Basilean equivalents…
The brig comes in two pieces with the combined mast and sail being a relatively sturdy part, and the extended bowsprit from all of the KoM ships is attached to the hull. This was the supported version which worked well with the exception of the bottom corner of the stern, and the extreme rear of the mast. The dropped layers were not bad enough to reprint, so I will need a little cleanup on this one, and probably do my own supports on the next ones.
The gunboat is also two pieces with the hull working as a print flat on the build plate, and I did have one of the supported sails fail from this group of four, but I think that must have been a issue with the printer film.
Details on both of these models are just as good as any of the cast resin ships from Mantic, the only item of note that sets this fleet apart is that KoM looks like it is considerably a smaller scale than the rest of Armada. The cannons in particular are not quite half as large as the ones on Basilean or Orc decks. Also, the connection sockets for both of these masts were much shallower than most of the other ships I have put together, only about 1.5 mm, so these may need pinning, or built out cargo or ropes to stabilize the bases of the masts.
