Siege of Elanthir

Last Saturday we hosted a new multiplayer game and embarked on a 6000 point siege using the castle my dad 3D printed for me. Sylvain and Nicolas respectively led the elves and free dwarves to defend the city of Elanthir. Loris, Olivier and I pooled our resources to put together three undead armies.

The game was very enjoyable. Aesthetically it kept all its promises and having a combined army of undead helped a lot. The siege system is very nice even if it has quite a few gray areas. We stumbled upon numerous situations or interpretations that did not satisfy everyone, to say the least. In the heat of the moment, we decided this with a dice roll, but we’ll know for next time. I was also a little optimistic with my table : it wasn’t big enough. Consequently, this gives a good mass effect, but the maneuver was very reduced. Anyways siege are always a unique and exciting experience.
