Slow Grow Challenge 2026 - Basilea!

Hi again!

So I started strong with Nightstalkers but I’ve always had love for the human side. Basilea was my very first purchase when Kings of War launched but I NEVER got to painting them. The “new” men-at-arms sculpts are amazing and I just kept buying boxes and boxes.

Today, that reign of unpainted mini ends and marks the start for Basilea! I always loved yellow coloured armies, so I’m bringing that to my Basilea (Black Yellow themed).

I hope to finish the following by next month and a bit more before Clash of Kings UK, where I’ll very likely bring Basilea to the fray!

2 Hordes of Men-At-Arms Spearmen
3 Regiment of Men-At-Arms Spearmen
(I love hordy looking armies. Each horde would have 34 bodies and regiment 18 bodies, making it a total of 118!)
3 Regiments of Ogre Palace Guard
1 Regiment of Elohi
1 Regiment of Cavalry
1 Horde of Sisters
Alanis
Samacris
Jullius
That old named model on a lion removed
Abbess
War Priest
Dictator

They look impressive, like a whole unit of Mountains from Game of Thrones.

Those look awesome! Love the yellow and black colour scheme.

“ Yeah, uh-huh, you know what it is
Black and yellow, black and yellow, black and yellow “

Nothing wrong with the white and blue from Mantic, but yours look really nice or noble.

But I have to admit the character sculpts are really nice too.

It’s a pity that the war wizards strangly disappeared, but are still mentioned in the background.

And the priest reminds me of Stargate Oori (or something like that)

The colour scheme is great!

Yellow can be a tough colour to look right, but you seem to have nailed it.

Guys guys guys. When i put these together, i literally had shivers. ISNT IT SO AWESOME

Wow, seeing the men at arms all ranked up is certainly an impressive sight. Wouldn’t want to be facing them across a gaming table!

This color scheme is doing the miniatures a favor. They look really good. Not only the old knights (but from all cavalry units using these horses they have always been the best , but especially the sisters.

You nearly forget about their long arms.

Wow I’ve never seen a) so many Basilean minis in one army or b) so many well painted Basilean minis in general. I also don’t remember seeing Gnaeus’ face before!

Really impressive work, bravo :yellow_heart:
