So I started strong with Nightstalkers but I’ve always had love for the human side. Basilea was my very first purchase when Kings of War launched but I NEVER got to painting them. The “new” men-at-arms sculpts are amazing and I just kept buying boxes and boxes.
Today, that reign of unpainted mini ends and marks the start for Basilea! I always loved yellow coloured armies, so I’m bringing that to my Basilea (Black Yellow themed).
I hope to finish the following by next month and a bit more before Clash of Kings UK, where I’ll very likely bring Basilea to the fray!
2 Hordes of Men-At-Arms Spearmen
3 Regiment of Men-At-Arms Spearmen
(I love hordy looking armies. Each horde would have 34 bodies and regiment 18 bodies, making it a total of 118!)
3 Regiments of Ogre Palace Guard
1 Regiment of Elohi
1 Regiment of Cavalry
1 Horde of Sisters
Alanis
Samacris
Jullius
That old named model on a lion removed
Abbess
War Priest
Dictator
This color scheme is doing the miniatures a favor. They look really good. Not only the old knights (but from all cavalry units using these horses they have always been the best , but especially the sisters.
Wow I’ve never seen a) so many Basilean minis in one army or b) so many well painted Basilean minis in general. I also don’t remember seeing Gnaeus’ face before!
