If you have a hero with Slayer (D3) and you give it Axe of the Giant Slayer, does it now have Slayer (2D3)? Or is it like those rules where you just use the highest value, since it’s not actually Slayer (+D3)?

Just d3 - Rampage and Slayer follow the regular convention for special rules and artifacts (so as they aren’t +n they don’t stack).
There is an argument that you could roll each d3 and choose the highest.
