I know there have been some talk, and other systems got it. What are your thoughts about bringing on a big international team tournament for KoW? I know there was an initiative a few years back, but it petered out to nothing. I don’t remember if the pandemic, low interest or other reasons were the cause. Anyway I’ll post a few questions here for you, and I’ll answer first.

Should it be run before/after/in parallel with Clash of Kings UK?
Of there is low interest when the decicion to go or not comes, should we go ahead or try next year?

Yes, I think it would be really fun. I don’t think I could make it atm, but I’m sure my countrymen from Norway could form a team (they were 9 at Clash UK).
Yes, when AoS hit, most of our tournament scene went to WMH because they had an established tournament scene. To them the tournament scene was more important than the actual game. Ofcourse, not all players are tournament players, but it will help grow interest and more people will bring more people by word of mouth.

Yes go ahead, or else I think it will never happen. Even if only a few teams attended, they will all have a great time and interest will grow quickly, as with Clash UK in recent years.
Yes, there are not many big events for KoW and a Team event attracts different people and different kind of players
not everyone can or want to compete in a singles or go alone but with a team
All events that get the necessary coverage will grow the scene and having people in a region who regularly go to events means they want to play and train throughout the year and this causes others to jump in#
before or after, and it should be its own thing. having one big event with singles and teams in nottingham would interesting but a large event on the continent would be better
we should try until it happens, I have heard the French are planning for a team event, just not sure if this is going to be international or “big”
Overall KoW offers some interesting options for a Team Event other games don’t
Like the usual paring happens that all play the same scenario, Team A sets a player and Team B one against that, than Team B sets a player and so on
yet we have enough scenarios that different modes, like Team A chooses the pairings and Team B the scenarios for the pairs is possible (with certain limitations on what to choose or how often things are taken etc)
Without knowing how many players are going to come I would rather see a single Team per country unless there are places left
I think what Steve & co have done in Nottingham needs to not be taken for granted. It takes a lot of work so I don’t think we should just assume it will be there forever, or that we have any business proposing to add a team event to it
As I said, it would be nice but better if someone else does oit in a different region
In an ideal scenario wo would have 4 large events in 4 different regions evenly distributed thru the year so everyone has the possibility to visit at least one.
