Undiscovered dwarf stronghold in SW France?

While exploring Château de Castelnaud high above the Dordogne river valley, I came across this fine example of a dwarf organ gun:

If anyone can tell me how this came to be in SW France, I’d be delighted to hear from them.

It’s called a Ribauldequin, here’s a Wiki link.

It seems the Dwarfs were doing some off the books arms dealing with the French.
