Hello, any chance for some info on the base Elves and Twilight Kin (cost/stat changes, formations)? Mainly curious if Twilight Kin can take Palace Guard or at least Impalers can go horde. Thanks a lot!

I posted the elves yesterday. Just updated them now with everything I missed. I’ll get Kin done soon.

TWILIGHT KIN

Impalers gain fury

Blade dancers 125/190 pts

Butchers gain fury. nerve 13/15, 16/18

Crone sceptre reads: (1) miasma also affects friendly core elf units for 10 pts

Mikayael 230

Shadowhounds speed 10

Shadowhulk slayer melee D3

Banshee height 2

Fiend 305 pts nerve 17/19, gains stealthy, loses fury

NEW UNIT
Blade dancer neophytes
sp 6, me 3, de 3, att 10/12/25, Ne 10/12 14/16 21/23 elite melee keywords elf, neophyte

Twilight gladestalkers are on the master crafted youtube video

La’theal Bleakheart
sp 6, me 5, de 4, att 4, ne 13/15, 165 pts spellcaster 3
Aura stealthy, individual, inspiring
Wicked Miasma, Eye of Valuk. at the start of each friendly ranged phase, is she is not disordered, she may select an enemy within 12" regardless of line of sight. this unit loses stealthy and spellward until end of turn. all spells targeting that unit may reroll all natural unmodified to-hit rolls of a 1 until end of turn.
Drain life 7, fireball 10
keyword; elf, twilight

FORMATION
1 SOULBANE, 1 regiment and 2 troops of bladedancers
all units gain keyword: Souless shards and wild charge 1. hero gains rallying 1 soulshards only, lowers defense to 4, increases speed and attacks to 7. may also take a mount.
ENRAGED: in addition to their regular attacks, they gain additional attacks equal to the damage they have taken.
Points cost is strange here as it says 25 but it also says 15 for hero and 5 each for the units? to be FAQ’ed I can imagine.

Ah must have missed the initial elf post. Thanks for pointing that out, and the further kin info, much appreciated!

Thanks a lot! Good to see, Thuuls get an upgrade. The Models are nice. Was a shame they had no place.

Thanks again - thanks to you it is now good to endure that my delivery is delayed more and more ;-)!

A small question I still have - give the Thegn on Frostfang of the Northern Alliance and the Snowtroll Prime now actually complete Inspiring without that the point costs change

Given the unlock changes to warrior regiments it makes those viable and cheaper than the hunters. It does fit thematically and as you point out basic shooting will be more prevalent, so de4+ is more of a hindrance than previously

Anyone else feel like the Elves got as many buffs as the Sylvan Kin, despite assurances that SK specifically got a lot of love? Unless Air Elementals got a stat change, I’m really not sure they make up for losing Drakons.

Drakons and AE aren’t really directly compatible as stats and profile have different roles?

Fly, nimble and surgeable, coupled with pathfinder makes them very useful - whereas the drakons are more direct threat.

Does someone has the rules and point costs for the reborn legionaries from the RF Orcs? Thank you in advance

Yes that is exactly my point! Sylvan Kin are weaker than Elves, Sylvan Kin don’t get awesome flying monster cav like Drakons. Does getting Air Elementals and about as many options extra as Elves count as ā€œSylvan Kin getting a lot of loveā€?

Just found the rules in the spoilers on reddit - thx again. Reborn legionaries: troos/regiment for 120/185

Sylvan Kin have the best Cav in the game now with unlimited Pathfinder. Pretty huge imho. I’m tempted myself to build Cav Heavy Sylvan Kin now.

In the games I’ve run the Regiment of Stormwind I ve got ,has always been invaluable (took out a Treeherder in one go with a Flank Charge and Bane Chant)… and now as many Regiments as I d like all with Pathfinder and Maccwars free to use on something else … dayum! They can dislodge enemies in woods and diff. Terrain very well … something Drakons, which are more of a direct threat with bigger threat projection, often struggle with.

Also Wiltfather and arguably the best Gladestalkers now.

Just saying. I’ll likely run my army as both normal Elves and Slyvan Kin from time to time, once I ve painted enough to have the option.

Good luck building it with their Irregular tag… also really, are our Gladestalkers better? I think I’d prefer better melee over Stealthy … unless Stealthy now applies to Lightning Bolt, the nemesis of Gladestalkers!

But it is nice to see Wiltfather back with the Kindred, however, its also models like the Kings Champion and Argus vs… El’Rik…

It’s irregular, so you need to get the unlocks elsewhere - one unit can stack up on the [1] upgrade from the Core list as well as pathfinder and an artifact for a very pricey, but seriously kick ass, cav reg!

Since SK lack drakons they are going to play differently by definition to the regular elf list.

Changes generally mean I can use more of the elf/sk/FoN/OotGL collection that I have, which is a plus

CoK thoughts on KoM.

While is only a slight points drop (and would have better if regular) being able to drop US3, 18/21 nerve hordes of militia in the backfield for 105pts is quite fun as objective holders. It isn’t going to die to a cannon and the odd bit of lightning or a charge from chaff cav. Alternatively a couple of hundred points gets you a massive roadblock on a flank, for barely the price of two cav troops.

Monarch - great modeling potential and the two aura options look fun. Footguard are ā€˜Knights’ so -/25 hordes when you need them :grinning:

Beast Cav - Bretonnia players get their pegs back! Solid but not spectacular - aren’t full on honour guard and miss out on IW and aura synergy

Formation - fluff (and not Mantic’s!) choice really. The character isn’t bad and lots of army builds have a couple of bowmen troops

Points drop on scouts gun upgrade is fine - stylistically I only take it in one of my KoM armies, but is more useful know.

Instigator - about time it did something!

Collectively, changes to a few things in Brothermark, LoR and KoM mean that more of my unified (by paint scheme/basing/style) army can get a run out together, as can my elf/sk/FoN/OotGL/herd vibe stuff.

It’s probably not at the top of people’s list, but I really like Rampage D6 on the Mammoth - sets it apart from the giant.

The Beast Cav and the Monarch are a nice injection of fantasy into the list too. Like you said, great modelling potential.

Yeah, the mammoth v giant thing is less clear cut - and my Arab camel/elephant heavy list is more fun now

I think it might be a couple of weeks - though can’t remember where I heard that now
