Losing level 3 because of low activity

Hello everyone, I have noticed an issue that is a feature in the Discourse software, but which may be percieved as something unwanted or annoying; namely the fact that the “user levels” that members achieve are not permanent, so if you reach Level 3 during a period of high activity, you may lose it some months later due to a period of low activity. This means losing the silver badge “Regular” and also losing access to certain functions and rights (level 3 users can do a lot of moderating, which is cool!).

What I want to get at, is that I have now increased the time period to 1000 days (orginally just 90, I think) before the system starts checking again if you have been active enough to keep it.
And I want to encourage anyone who used to be a Level 3 and have lost it, to please feel free to send me a message and I will be happy to “reinstate” your level. This goes ESPECIALLY for you amazing people who contribute $1 or more to the forum’s Patreon (known by their awesome '“knight of the forum” badge) because there used to be a strong correlation between you guys and the top level but I notice some of you have lost your “Regular” status and I want to correct that.

Consider sticking up a ko-fi page too. I’ll donate a dollar a month!

The Patreon is always open to join! (not really sure what ko-fi means)

Ko-fi.com — I support a few things via this. I can’t use Patreon…
