I mean, this can’t be right?
EDIT: HAS BEEN CORRECTED
It isn’t, its the depth horror troop stat-line
They should have Me 5+, De 2+, 12 attacks, and 12+ nerve.
EDIT: HAS BEEN CORRECTED
King on chariot does not unlock legions for goblins. Not 100% sure this is an error, but it says that a king is required and he’s a king so…
Cancel this, same in book, though maybe wording should change to clarify
It’s the same way only the vampire on foot/mounted vampire makes soul reavers core, not the peg or dragon versions
Until the holidays finish and there’s a big tidy up of the companion, I’m pretty wary of how accurate it is. Somethings I’ve thought unintuitive have turned out to be correct though.
Twilight Kin Navigator does not have the Yielding special rule. Is this a bug or a feature? It is the same in the physical rulebook, so not a companion issue, but a question for the unit’s stats itself.
Book is wrong - looks like a copy-paste nobody caught. The app is correct - the demon doesn’t have the trait.
The Companion’s special rule doesn’t list either Frostbite nor Frozen. This should be added if the rules of any unit cause or have one of it.
Error might be a strong word, but it would be nice if Host Shadowbeast was on the spell list when a Barrow Wight is in an Undead list.
Dwarfs
Steel Juggernaut is listed in both the Rulebook (p. 108) and the Companion as Hero/Inf (without the individual rule - which makes him unique as an infantry hero afaik). Should he be Hero/Lrg Inf like his souped-up cousin Faber Ironheart, who is listed as Hero/Lrg Inf in both book and companion?
Stone Claw Riders are missing their unit type (Large Cavalry) in the Companion.
Units in ambush lists all have [0] after their name when you insert them unless they have a proper limit like [2]. Doesn’t do anything but didn’t make sense.
Does anyone know, are the mistakes in the companion now the same as the ones in the book? Are the companion errors now book errors?
Elliot has been correcting things that were wrong in the Companion - either missed when going book to digital or acknowledged as wrong so far. Whether absolutely everything has been done or not is a different matter.
There will be an faq/errata early Feb which pulls everything together, which will also be a pdf to cover non Companion users.
He does all the Companion stuff - so not just KoW.
There’s about 50 unique profiles in each of the 20 KoW lists, with 10 default stats each - excluding upgrades, special rules, spells, items etc
The book doesn’t have to worry about breaking army building restrictions, taking multiple duplicates you shouldn’t and updating stat combos.
If being critical at errors it has to be aimed at the book (which if you recall forgot an entire unit they make models for!) not the guy trying to make it work online?
An RC member said about errors in a CoK book something along the lines of ‘we never saw it, we were looking at spreadsheets ‘.
Have you seen how shonky some other games online builders are - this isn’t a bad rollout.
