Where to buy mdf for basing?

I use MKZ in Spain.

Fast, EU based, and they list KOW unit type as well as dimensions, which new players might find useful.

Sadly they’re no longer doing this. Instead their shipping prices per base now.

I found two new ones for the US:

I placed an order with both. I’ll left people know how they are.

If uk based(!) I’d go warbases.co.uk as my default option - huge range of options, will do custom stuff and great customer service.

Query - do you mean 50-100i 20mm bases or 500-100 20mm regiment bases (ie 100x40). If the latter, as it is quite a sizable order you could do worse than drop them an email and see able getting a deal?

I’m in the US.

Yes I ordered over 100 regiment bases yesterday.

I am about ready to start my big project. I’ll have plenty of bases to work on, make a little diorama and stick some models down.

Atomic Laser have already shipped my order. This is very promising.

Half my new MDF bases have arrived. Here’s the order from Atomic Laser.

A stack of approximately 50 regiment bases.

And with that, 101 bases waiting to be painted up, textured and diorama-ed.

Not MDF bases, but I still put this here so it doesn’t get lost and anyone in future may find it.

There are shops selling pre-cut plastic sheets, naming differes depending on regions/countries but usually something like plastic card, polystyrol, high impact polystryrene (HISP)

As example 2 from central Europe:

Kodos, how do these behave in terms of hobbying… How do they take paint (and what kind), and gluing of cork and other materials to them?

As say, compared to MDF being very porous.

It being HIPS it reacts exactly like you miniature plastic, so anything plastic can be glued on with plastic glue, everything else need to be a rough surface (sand the base before) and super glue. Acrylic paste, Milliput or Greenstuff can go directly on it
Priming before painting of course

Citadel used to sell a modular movement tray kit that wasn’t $42 like it is now and those used to be great for making unit bases back in the early days of KoW.
