Thanks Nav! Well it looks like from your thread and posts you’re plenty good enough at the “art” these days
I actually still have a lot more to paint up!

that doesnt surprise me. i had 3 of those boxes at one time, enough for a 100 block of Night goblin spearmen, ect. most have been sold on when i could only find people playing 40k but i still have a couple of the old trolls, about 50 spearmen and 20 spider riders left, plus some wolf riders that i’ve stolen the wolves off for my Northern Alliance, plus one of the Mork idols and a couple of dwarf terrain pieces…
Long time nothing finished, but finally got one
They call him the King for a reason! More photos on flickr as usual, and this guy has some secrets to him, so you’ll be seeing more of him soon…

He’s baaaack!
And this time he’s on a chariot!
Thanks to Knightmare Games for “giving” me this model cos I won the fb contest thanks to collectinggreen for tagging me lol (cos I don’t get on failbook much, I would never have seen it otherwise).
Yeah that is a Gamezone guy on the back, another freebie from an order from them. Not bad for a 100% “free” model.
More shots at flickr as always
Love the howling wolf models!
What are those sculpts from?
Thank you! This is all (as per the sticker in the background, although I know it’s a bit unclear) from Knightmare Miniatures, except the aforementioned Gamezone archer hanging on the back.

I never heard of that line – great miniatures.
I might actually need to grab some of those . . .
Yeah they are pricey but really good. Especially if you like their old-school aesthetics and the heft of metal minis
Same with Gamezone really. I really LOVE some of their models too. The one on the back of my chariot is actually available to retail now too:

My jaw is on the floor with those gamezone models!
Good looking out – great line. I might actually have to pick up some of their vampires.
Thats very cool @rotfoot_bile ! I love to find smaller manufacturers and share them. Not KoW I know, but I actually help The 9th Age maintain their OnG miniatures page (here) so I try to keep on top of all the many mini lines out there. Plus I read & sometimes contribute to collectinggreen who knows even more stuff than I do!
(he’s not on this forum, but does also play KoW and KoW Vanguard at times too).
GameZone tend towards the bigger end of the scale for minis btw, but they DO rank up usually ok from my experiences so far.
Would you say that they’re larger than 28mm?
28mm “Heroic” I would say!
Here’s an example of a mixed unit, the minis in the front rank 1,3 and 5 “slot” are 100% Gamezone minis for example:
He’s back again yet on a different chariot…! How does he do it??!
It’s merely super conductor electro-magnetism. Surely you’ve heard of it?
And It Levitates… Goblins!!
(the model is Knightmare, but the wolves are from Shieldwolf btw)
very sweeet
I’ve always like these models and would love to see them on the table more. However, in my games they very rarely, if ever find a target. But this is a dis us soon for another thread! Great work. I love the tan tones with the splash of red.
at first glance, i missed the carrot muncha on the stick, great lure, nice touch
Thank you very much
Yeah I cannot imagine using them much in KoW really, especially not in this number but still! Maybe I’ll play Vanguard one day where I think they could be more useful…
I wanna get my hands on the Mantic Stinggit model too eventually
(If you click through I noted on flickr where all these models are from btw)
Cheers! Well you can credit Knightmare Miniatures with that, the mini comes with that. There’s only very minor conversion work here - enlarged the ‘platform’ on the chariots to fit more guys on and ofc drilling holes and putting the magnets in for crew swaps - which was actually quite a pain to do, but hopefully worth it in the long run
