The bone on the weapon handle, the red armour, the red jewels on the armour, the reverse highlighting on the groin armour guard, the face and on and on.

Nice! Really like the way it looks like the unit is surging forwards, led by the champion at the front. The dogs are a nice touch too.

I would think natural talent coupled with years of practice.

Thousand sons Blue as the base, then a wash of Coelia greenshade favouring the bottom of each surface, then highlight with TSB and add Ahriman Blue. Highlight up to pure ahriman and then add Baharroth Blue along the edges, with pure white on the corners. Sometimes I add black to the darkest bits or add some more Coelia over those bits.

2 troop units to go with them (run as horde or separate)
Given they are riding dogs, felt some thrown in amongst the infantry would work. Going to add plenty into the poacher units (will probably run the regimented units of archers as hand gunners)

Tournament rules just came out and I need to have 50%+1 for my model count so I’ll be fitting 6 on each instead of 5.

Some Elves I’ve been working on, connected to my Atlantean theme projects.
The list does have Allies. Something I was trying. Its Elves/Trident. Ensnarers in the center, Placoderms regiment, and A knucker.
The core of the list is Drakon riders, 2 scouting Gladestalkers, more mounted shooting elf chaff, and the LB casters. All lead by a dragon. Biggest one I could find. ( Flex )

Just finished up a kitbashed abyssal dwarf riding a steam badger for use as a special character at a tournament next year.
He’ll be a grotesque champion the rest of the time
